Before installing the Geographic Automata Add-In, make sure that you have installed ArcGIS Pro version 3.1 or newer on your PC.

Step 1. Download the Add-In

The Geographic Automata Add-In is available to download as an .esriAddInX file from ArcGIS Online.

Step 2. Install the .esriAddInX file

There are several options for installing the Geographic Automata Add-In in ArcGIS Pro:

  • Option 1: Double-click the .esriAddInX file and follow the steps shown in the ArcGIS Pro Add-In Installation Utility window.

  • Option 2: Copy the .esriAddInX file to ArcGIS Pro’s Add-In folder (%System Drive%\Users<username>\Documents\ArcGIS\AddIns).

  • Option 3: Provide the folder location using the Add-In Manager.

Step 3. Update ArcGIS Pro settings

Under ArcGIS Pro’s Project > Add-In Manager > Options menu, ensure that the Load all Add-Ins without restrictions option is selected.

Restart the application for changes to take effect.

Step 4. Check the tool status in the ArcGIS Pro ribbon

The Geographic Automata Add-In is activated if all buttons are enabled. If not, only the About button will be enabled. Ensure you are connected to the internet if you are using the Add-In.

Special Instructions

Checking for Updates

The Geographic Automata Add-In is currently under active development. Click the About button to see if the current version is up-to-date.

Installing Version 1.0

Version 1.0 of the Geographic Automata Add-In requires a license file. Download the license file and relocate it to the same folder location as the installed .esriAddInX file.
